Gangs, Guns and Knives

Young people in Lambeth tell us that although most young people feel safe when they go out (75%), just over half worry about crime and gangs in Lambeth.

When asked in surveys as many of one in four young people in London aged 15 – 16 claim to carry knives. And most young people who carry knives say that they think this will make them safer on the streets.

But does carrying a knife, a gun or being part of a gang make young people safer? Or does it make their lives even more dangerous?

Here are some sites which other young people have helped to develop.
